Motorola is back with a new smartphone. Launched in the US, the Motorola Moto Z3 supports the company’s snap-on accessories, known as Moto Mods. Along with the new phone, Motorola has launched a 5G Moto Mod which is said to boost up network speed by 10 times. The smartphone will be compatible with existing Moto Mods in the market.As far as the phone goes, it is going on sale in the US on August 16 with a price tag of $480, roughly Rs 33,000. Moto Z3 looks quite the same compared to the Moto Z3 Play but with better specifications under the hood.
Moto Z3 specifications
Moto Z3 features a 6.01-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with 18:9 aspect ratio and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Under the hood of the smartphone runs Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which is further expandable up to 2TB via a microSD card.For photography, Moto Z3 offers a dual-camera setup at the rear which is a pair of 12-megapixel sensors. Some of the camera features include video recording up to 4K ultra HD, slow motion, YouTube live mode and video face filters. Up front, there’s an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera with f/2.0 aperture. Selfie camera features include portrait mode, group selfies, face beauty, and face filters.
Moto Z3 also comes with cinemagraph capability which is a type of photography that creates movement on still images. Moto Z3 cameras also come with Google Lens integration for object recognition.Connectivity options on Moto Z3 Play include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. On the software front, it runs Android 8.1 Oreo. The smartphone is fuelled by a 3,000mAh battery which is claimed to offer half a day’s power in half an hour. Moto Z3 comes with a water-repellent coating for splashes.
